Long-Lasting Protection for High Desert Homes

Metal roofing offers long service life, excellent snow shedding, strong wind resistance, and a clean appearance that suits many Central Oregon homes, barns, and outbuildings. With heavy winter snow, strong winds, intense summer sun, and growing wildfire awareness, many homeowners in the high desert choose metal for its durability and performance. Lift & Relay Roofing & Remodeling Homes installs metal roofing for homes and structures in Terrebonne, OR and throughout Central Oregon and surrounding counties. With over 10 years of experience, our family-owned team installs standing seam and exposed fastener systems with careful attention to underlayment, flashing, trim, and fastening details that determine how well a metal roof performs. Fire performance depends on the specific product and complete assembly rather than the material name alone, so we help you choose a system with documented fire ratings and install it according to its requirements. Fastening and Expansion Done Right

Metal expands and contracts with dramatic high desert temperature swings. Proper fastening, clips, and panel layout allow movement without loosening, oil canning, or leaks developing at seams and penetrations over time.

Flashing and Trim Details Matter

Ridges, valleys, eaves, and penetrations are where metal roofs succeed or fail. We fabricate and install flashing and trim carefully, sealing transitions so water and wind-driven snow stay out of your home.

Great roof work, they built a cover to my crawlspace outdoor access and made it look like my house, really cool. also had them do some junk removal, was not an easy process it is very tight quarters, and they had to cut a truck up into pieces to remove it due to not having tires and could not fit a trailer under my eves. Great folks, great attitude and fantastic work

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Metal roofing raises questions about cost, snow, and fire performance. Here are answers for homeowners in Terrebonne, OR and Central Oregon.

Is metal roofing more fire-resistant than asphalt shingles?

The specific product and installation matter more than the material name. Certain metal and asphalt shingle systems can achieve Class A, the highest rating, and some ratings depend on the complete assembly, including underlayment.

Does snow slide off metal roofs?

Yes, metal roofs shed snow efficiently. Snow guards can help control sliding snow over entries, walkways, and decks, and we discuss placement as part of planning your metal roof.

Are metal roofs noisy during storms?

With proper decking, underlayment, and attic insulation, most homeowners find metal roofs no louder than other roofing during rain. Installation details play a significant role in sound levels.

What is the difference between standing seam and exposed fastener metal?

Standing seam panels hide fasteners and allow movement, offering a cleaner look and excellent weather resistance. Exposed fastener panels cost less but require periodic fastener and sealant maintenance.

Can metal roofing be installed on barns and shops?

Yes. Metal roofing is a popular, durable choice for barns, shops, garages, and outbuildings, providing long-lasting protection against snow, wind, and sun for rural and agricultural properties.
